Creating something is copying, transforming, and combining, according to Kirby Ferguson.
He says everything that everyone has ever made is a remix of something(s) before them.
He gives so many examples of this in his super interesting four-part documentary series, Everything Is A Remix. He covers the music and film industry, the legal system and Intellectual Property.
This makes me think of the idea that honest stealing is the way to go.
So go ahead and rip me off, if you can find anything worth taking.

It’s incredible to me how music affects our brains.
This is something I’ve been thinking and reading about a lot lately, especially Music Therapy – which I realized was a real thing during my last semester at university. If I had heard of it earlier, that’s what I would be doing.
In addition to videos like the above, I’ve come across videos like the one below, read blog posts like the one about a Music Therapist getting told “no” by his client.
I know that’s a good amount of info to take in, but it’s all very interesting stuff and very worth the time. Last thing I’ll mention/recommend is this list of books about music + mind + Music Therapy…
