The Car From Purgatory – Epilogue

(To read the entire bleak, but true, story, start at Part 1)

As the car sat in the driveway of my friend’s dad’s house — with no license plate because some bandit stole it — a mechanic happened upon the vehicle and inquired about taking ownership of it.

I couldn’t have been more eager to be rid of the darned vehicle and more unbelieving that it would actually leave me.

To shorten the story, the car from purgatory is gone now, probably stripped to the frame and naked — how I wish it to be. But I feel that the paper trail leaking from it will someday come back to drown me.

So our fight continues.

But mark this for the record, that today, the car from purgatory is crossed off my list.

And I will always believe that Dave was behind it all.

P.S. — this story and all of its parts are based on true events with slight embellishment.
